On tablets, security and privacy are even more important than on desktop. As an always-connected, always mobile device, your iPad contains a load of sensitive personal information: your location history, social interactions, potentially bank apps, dating apps, email and so forth. Just imagine that all of your data is exposed and out for the grab, for anyone with really no more than basic tech skills.

Viruses can potentially infect tablets since they have the ability to jump from device to device, for example when transported via email, through a local WiFi connection, or via SMS and other messenger services. According to recent statistics, a hacker attack takes place every 39 seconds, affecting one in three Americans per year. Nearly 73 percent of all Americans have fallen victim to some type of cybercrime at least once. That’s what an anti-virus protection app is designed to prevent.

A good antivirus app needs to do more than just cleaning your iOS device from known malware or trojans. A top iOS antivirus software will contain:

• Real-time scans for new viruses on a daily basis to make sure your device is protected 24/7.
• A Social Network Privacy feature that scans your Facebook and Twitter account settings and reports on any potential privacy concerns.
• An Easy-to-use interface.
• A Smart Cache Cleaner feature which boosts your device memory space.
• A tracker-blocking which maintains your privacy while cutting data usage and accelerate performance.
• A “free up valuable storage“ which delete redundant apps that are not in use so you make the most of your battery life.
• A Safe Browsing (VPN), make your browsing experience fully anonymous.
• A WiFi Security that monitors sort of WiFi and warns you of insecure public WiFi.
• A Backing up feature which back any personal data on your iOS device.
• “Find my iPad” feature which locates your device if it ever was misplaced or even stolen.

it is thus vital to equip an iOS device with a quality antivirus protection app in order to have it secured at all times in all locations and networks. Select one of the leading protection apps above, and secure your device without delay.
